Here I am takin’ care of my body once again! I don’t know what prompted my sudden interest in body products. Perhaps it has been my ongoing beauty clean out (it has been 4 consecutive Sundays in a row now!) or the fact that I am determined to get rid of my strawberry legs (does anyone else have those?)! The latest bodycare I have been using is from the brand Veilment from Fruits & Passion which I’m sure more of you are familiar with. I primarily use their Cucina products in the kitchen so Veilment was completely new to me and is now carried through Avon.
Lip Balm (Tinted and Untinted)
Starting off this collection are the lip balms which are petrolatum-based and have a super smooth finish. I have no issues with Vaseline as it has its uses for sealing in moisture and soothing super dry lips. The consistency of these balms is incredibly smooth with a very faint citrus scent. They do not leave a greasy sheen and leave my lips feeling conditioned after each use. I was a bit scared that the tinted version would be too red, but as you can see from the swatch below, it is very sheer natural.
This is a very fancy phrase for “bar soap”, BUT it does smell really good and lathers well. Just a note that all of these hemp seed products do not have any CBD in them. I don’t really have much else to say about this other than it felt like a normal bar of soap and was moderately hydrating.
This is probably the most interesting product in the collection because this is essentially a shower gel, but has a more watered down consistency. At rest, this is a “bi-phase” product that you need to “shake” up and acts as a body cleanser, shower gel and light in-shower moisturizer. You can use this alone or on a puff as it lightly lathers. I also loved how refreshing the scent was!
Dry Body Oil
I was hoping this body oil would have the same fragrance as the Shower Shake, but alas it was fragrance-free. The consistency of this body oil was pleasant as it was lightweight, but did not leave a residue. My skin had a glowy sheen and was nicely moisturized.
Final verdict: This was an interesting collection with my favourite product being the Shower Shake. I found the scent to be unique and luxurious and one that I would take time to sniff and take a deep breath of while I was in the shower!
