We are so used to seeing and using vitamin C products for the face, but I don’t think I’ve ever really looked at vitamin C products for the body so when Avon released a collection of vitamin C products promising radiance for the rest of my body I thought it was perfect as who does not want to be as radiant as an orange this summer!
Vitamin C Illuminating Body Serum
I was most interested in this product as I have been seeing more and more body serum products this year. This is a lightweight and comfortably hydrating product that can be paired off with the Dry Body Oil for an all over glow and has a hint of shimmer in the formula that you can see a little bit of in the swatch below. It has vitamin C and niacinamide in the top half of the ingredients list which I was not expecting with a body product. It also had a faintly citrusy scent which I quite enjoyed. The result after application is a delicately shimmery skin finish that isn’t glittery, but just sunkissed looking. This was my hands down my favourite product in the collection!
Vitamin C Dry Body Oil
Not the driest body oil I have used, but it is relatively lightweight and has a watery texture. This time there is no citrus scent and pairs nicely with the moisture levels provided by the body serum if used together. While I have been known to enjoy body oils as moisturizers from time to time, I find that I really have to force myself oils because I generally prefer creams.
Vitamin C Overnight Radiant Mask
I really liked this radiance mask! It smells slightly citrusy and has this jelly texture, but when you massage this product into the skin, it feels so juicy! I feel like I am popping pockets of moisture into my skin and it feels so satisfying to apply! It also isn’t too sticky as an overnight mask and gives my skin a bit of a bounce until the next morning.
Vitamin C Smoothing Lip Scrub and Overnight Lip Mask
A solid little duo that I wish had more of a citrus scent, but that’s ok. If anything the scrub is unscented and the lip mask has a hint of orange to it. The scrub is a dense sugar-based one with a bit of a waxy finish so removal with a damp cloth is best. The lip mask feels a little bit more oily and less sticky than the famous Laneige Lip Masks, but not in a bad way. The texture is still very soft and makes my lips feel protected. The only thing that makes me cringe a bit are the prices as $48 for each is A LOT and should be half that in my opinion.
