Purchased by me
It took me a long time to finally use this mask because the packaging was so pretty and I was constantly using it in photos for flatlays! I received this quite awhile ago in my FaceTory subscription, but it was one that I was looking forward to using because Dr. Althea has some of the nicest fitting and feeling sheet masks. This had the word “velvet” in it, so obviously I wanted it on my skin!
The first thing to note is I believe the packaging has changed recently and just a plain blue now so not quite as cute-looking, but the contents seems to be identical. This mask is for all skin types and contains soothing ingredients like green tea, chamomile, ginger and calendula to calm redness as well as hydrate with olive fruit oil and squalane. It also promises to further brighten skin with licorice root which is one of my favourite skincare ingredients in addition to niacinamide!
The mask itself is one of those smooth, microfibre masks that has a bit of stretch so they tend to fit really nicely around the contours of the face. Another mask that I enjoy that is also made of this fabric is the Too Cool for School Egg Cream Mask! Masks like this generally have a creamy essence and this one is no exception. The scent was also very subtle and a cross between being herbal and floral. Definitely something I have not smelled before!

Final verdict: I would totally get this again and from what I can see, Sokoglam or YesStyle are the best and most affordable ways to purchase Dr. Althea online. This mask was hydrating, but not too tacky and the material and scent were very pleasant. All in all, a perfectly good mask! I always feel a little bit more fancy when the mask is that special microfibre so I would definitely use this again!
