One of the newest collections for Spring is the Hydrium collection which focuses on panthenol or vitamin B5 and various forms of hyaluronic acid to revive, moisturize, regenerate and calm skin. I was fortunate enough to receive the Hydrium Moisture collection from StyleKorean, but now that I have tried each product, I can confidently say that any one of these products can enhance your existing skincare routine!
Triple Hyaluronic Moisturizing Cleanser*
The key ingredients mentioned in this cleanser are vitamin B5 and three types of HA: HA, hydrolyzed HA and sodium hyaluronate. When it comes to a cleanser, I am not too concerned with ingredients as I am just going to wash it all off anyway so if anything, please do not put my precious ingredients in a cleanser! The key ingredients are also at the very end of the list so I do not put much stock into hoping they will do something even though it’s a “nice to have”.
The formula of the cleanser itself is quite rich, with a light fragrance and foams beautifully making the cleansing experience a pleasant one as it feels like I am massaging a cloud onto my skin. My skin feels borderline squeaky clean after rinsing, but not dry in the least. It says to not get this cleanser in your eyes, but I applied this on my eyelids and it did not burn or bother me at all.
Hydrium Watery Toner*
This toner has 5 types of HA plus vitamin B5 and allantoin which soothes the skin. In short, this is a crazy awesome toner as it hydrates and calms my skin down especially after an acid treatment. Like many Korean skincare toners, this is a multipurpose product as it can be used as an essence for a sheet mask (soak your Shiseido pads and place on cheeks and forehead) and as a refreshing mist throughout the day. I poured this toner into a spray bottle right away as you use less product when you avoid the use of a cotton pad so that ALL of that good stuff goes straight to your skin!
Triple Hyaluronic Moisture Ampoule*
This is a moisturizing serum containing three types of multi-molecular weight HA and is a clear, viscous formula. Though it is a bit thicker, it is still light and layerable and all you need is 2-3 drops to cover the entire face and neck for your skin to feel instantly quenched and with a smooth finish. In the summer heat, I still want hydration, but without tackiness or having to wait around for products to sink in making this an uncomplicated and easy serum to incorporate into any skincare routine. This is also a great little booster for ANY sheet mask!
Triple Hyaluronic Water Wave Sheet Mask*
For a next level hydrating treatment, this biodegradeable sheet mask is soaking in a variation of the Triple Hyaluronic Moisture Ampoule and when used in combination with the Moisture Ampoule is such a treat! The essence in the sheet mask is a bit more watery and feels very “juicy”, but comfortable on the skin as there is nothing worse than a sheet mask that just keeps dripping down my neck.
The fit of the sheet mask is quite nice with the actual sheet being very thin, fitted and soaking with essence. Upon removal, I was left with ZERO tackiness and a wonderful bounce to my skin. I didn’t even feel the need for moisturizer, but I applied a small amount just to seal everything in.
Moisture Power Enriched Cream*
This is an easy moisturizer that locks moisture in and contains vitamin B5, propolis and ceramides! It does have dimethicone in it which makes it a great hydrating moisturizer for daytime use that does the job without feeling heavy on the skin. The texture is light and gel-like and works well under makeup!
Final verdict: I am really pleased with this line in terms of keeping it all about moisture without making my skin feel heavy. I have only been using this line for about 2.5 weeks, but my skin has already been more supple and plump. The only thing I have had to add was an exfoliator which I have been using just after cleanser and an oil cleanser which I use just before the Moisturizing Cleanser. The sheet mask is fantastic and I will pick some more up once I’ve completed my #100DaysofSheetMasks challenge, but even for someone at my age that is constantly looking for the next hot skincare thing to keep my skin young and perky, this was a solid collection of products that used varying weights of HA which I LOVE and is what I believe to be the smartest way of using HA in skincare.
