SHEET MASK | Sephora Collection Purifying and Clarifying Mask

Sephora Collection Purifying and Clarifying Mask

Purchased by me

I have had a really nice three day weekend having worked the Stat Holiday earlier this week and it has truly been SO nice. I feel like even though it’s the summer, I have been workin’ real hard and I’m trying to enjoy some of the summer before we head into Fall and then inevitably CHRISTMAS. It really creeps up on you and especially in the world of retail, we start thinking of the holiday season in September! It has been nice to catch up on some house and blog things and while I have been busy at home, I am a true homebody so I love it.

I cannot tell if Sephora actually has NEW sheet masks I haven’t tried or they are merely changing the packaging. I keep adding these masks whenever I need to hit a certain minimum spend for a GWP which is how I ended up with this fun lemon one.

What makes this mask special? This mask contains hyaluronic acid for hydration and, purifying nutgrass root and clarifying lemon extract. All of the ingredients are at the end of the ingredients list though with fragrance actually being in higher concentration than all of the featured ingredients.

The sheet mask fabric was a bit different than what I was expecting as the previous Sephora Collection masks were made of eucalyptus fibre which meant the mask was a bit more stiff.  This time around, the mask was made of acacia fibres which made the mask much softer.

Mask Summary:

Price: $8.50 CDN

What it does: Smooth and purify skin

Thickness: Thin

Mask Fit: Pretty good! Better than the fit of the first generation of Sephora Collection sheet masks which were much more stiff.

Tackiness: Zero

Hydration: I needed moisturizer as I felt the mask was not hydrating enough for my skin type.

Other notes: Mask material was much softer than the previous eucalyptus fibre.

Final verdict: I don’t think I would go out of my way to keep these masks in my collection as I would prefer the featured ingredients to be a little higher up on the list, but the packaging is cute, the mask is comfortable to wear and it’s an easy mask to enjoy. If I need to once again, top up my Sephora basket with something under $10 to qualify for a GWP I would probably get this or any of the other sheet masks available, but as a mask to keep in my rotation, there are other cheaper, better masks out there!
