This year, 2025, marks 29 years of building and growing our brand. Yep, we’re celebrating 29 years of clean, clinically tested skincare from the sea. Since the beginning, OSEA has been about more than just skincare. It’s self-care rooted in nature and a holistic approach to wellness that runs generations deep. At the heart of it all is our community, one that continues to grow with us.
To honor that community, we spoke with some of our longest-standing customers. These are the people who have trusted us with their skin for five, ten, even twenty years. Their routines are full of intention. Their loyalty, the highest compliment. These are their stories. And we’re so grateful to be part of them.

How long have you been using OSEA?
“Let me think about this… I’ve used OSEA since the very beginning, since Jenefer launched it at Fred Segal in 1996. Yeah, and I’ve literally used it since the first day.”
I’m 49 and have zero wrinkles and perfect skin. I have strayed and embraced other brands temporarily, and I always go back to OSEA. I cannot live without Advanced Repair Eye Cream and Undaria Algae Body Oil. My husband and I both love Dream Night Cream. I literally use the entire body care line; I would say the only things I don’t use are the blemish products.

What do you love most about the brand?
“The formulations are so grounding. I love that it’s rooted in the ocean and the earth. You really feel the connection to nature through using the products.”
Can you walk us through your morning routine?
“So I wash my face with Ocean Cleansing Mudd every morning for about 45 to 60 seconds. This was Jenefer’s recommendation back in 1996—just rubbing it in and emulsifying it. You know when your skin starts tingling from the essential oils that it’s time to rinse it off. And then when I’m in the shower, I usually use Undaria Algae Body Wash, followed by Salts of the Earth Body Scrub. I get directly into my robe, I don’t towel off or anything. I kind of just let my skin dry on its own, which is so nice. Then I apply the Advanced Repair Eye Cream under my eyes and around my lips, because it used to be called “Eyes and Lips.” Then I use the Advanced Protection Cream, mixed with a little bit of the Dayglow Face Oil. And then I kind of just pat everything into my humid skin. Then I put my sunscreen on. Right now, I’m really into Solara Fortune Teller sunscreen.
Three words to describe OSEA?
“Nourishing, effective, sensuous. OSEA is my ride or die. I don’t think I could live without it.”

How and when did you first discover OSEA?
“I first discovered OSEA about eight years ago at a retail store called Terrain, in Devon PA. They had a nice selection of your products.”
What do you love most about OSEA?
“I love the clean ingredients from the ocean!! All the products are so effective. I also love that it’s owned by women!! We understand each other.”
What’s your favorite product?
“Advanced Protection Cream. I use this in the winter months to keep my skin moisturized as cold weather can dry out your skin!! It’s the most luxurious face cream I have ever used. It’s amazing.”

How and when did you first discover OSEA?
“I follow a raw vegan nutritionist named Kristina (@fullyrawkristina) and she was talking about her favorite OSEA products. This was about four years ago, and at that time I had been moving to more natural products. I did some research and tried the Advanced Protection Cream and was HOOKED! I transitioned to my complete skincare routine from there. I now use: Ocean Cleansing Milk, Ocean Eyes Serum, Sea Minerals Mist, Hyaluronic Sea Serum, Advanced Repair Eye Cream, Advanced Protection Cream, the new Dream Night Serum (that I was lucky enough to be sent to test before it was rolled out), Hyaluronic Lip Booster, and the Seaglow Resurfacing Scrub.”
What do you love most about OSEA?
“I love that the products are so natural and high quality. I also love supporting an American female-owned business—it’s even better because they are mother and daughter!”
What’s your favorite product?
“The Advanced Protection Cream. I can LITERALLY see a difference right after I apply it. My face gets glowy. It’s expensive but 100% worth it! I finish my routine with the Essential Hydrating Oil over the Advanced Protection Cream!”

When did you first discover OSEA?
“I have been buying OSEA products for about 10 years now.”
What do you love most about our brand?
“First, that it’s a family-run business. Second, that it is natural, with no additives, and that it’s loaded with seaweed. I’ve loved every product that I have tried.”
What’s your favorite product?
“I cannot answer with just one! I love the Undaria Algae Body Butter the best. I am in the sun a lot because we are boaters and it’s so moisturizing. My skin just absorbs everything. It’s wonderful! I also love both of the Body Scrubs. I exfoliate in the shower prior to applying the Body Butter. I also love the Hyaluronic Sea Serum. I can go on and on, but you asked for one! I often give gifts to my nieces or my mom and they love the products as well!”

When and how did you first discover OSEA?
“A little over four years ago, I began searching online for clean skincare. I was unhappy with the products I was using, as I felt they irritated my skin and I didn’t love the ingredients. OSEA came up in my search and I became really intrigued. I read tons of reviews. OSEA’s commitment to creating products with natural, clean ingredients had me completely interested. I also felt their backstory—a family trying to give back to the planet while creating safe skincare that also feels spa-like and luxurious—was very appealing to me. So I initially tried the Ocean Cleanser, and then I kept trying more products and more products. Ever since January 2021, OSEA has been part of my everyday skincare routine!”
What’s your favorite thing about our brand?
“There is so much that I love about OSEA. I love how the products are not irritating to my sensitive skin. I love the selection of products. I love what OSEA represents—affordable skincare that is clean but also feels like I could have just come from the spa. But what I love most is knowing that OSEA is committed to creating safe skincare and how good I feel after using their products. I know that there is nothing toxic that I am putting on my body. I think so many people don’t realize how many horrible ingredients are in their everyday routine, and we have to take care of our largest organ. I never have to worry when using OSEA and that is very important to me.”
How many OSEA products do you use daily and which are your favorites?
“Ten to be exact. Although I do love all the products, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Hyaluronic Sea Serum. It is a beautifully thick serum that glides on and keeps my skin feeling hydrated and fresh—invigorated! It is not greasy or gritty and it does not have any strong fragrance. A little goes a long way! I am consistent with my skincare and just yesterday someone told me that they couldn’t believe I am 47! I think something is working :)”

How and when did you first discover OSEA?
“I first discovered OSEA in 2015 through my facialist in Los Angeles. At the time, she had been using Jurlique, but when it was acquired by a larger company and the quality began to slip, she made the switch to OSEA. I remember how immediately drawn I was to the line—clean, ocean-inspired, and effective. It felt like a breath of freshness for my skin, and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since.”
What do you love most about OSEA?
“What I love most is the consistency—not just in the formulas, but in how my skin responds. Every product feels thoughtfully made, gentle yet effective, and grounded in ingredients that make a difference in my skin. There’s a calm trust that comes with using OSEA: no surprises, no reactions, just reliably great skincare. (Though I still miss the red toner!)”
What’s your favorite product?
“It’s a toss-up between the Hyaluronic Sea Serum and the Dayglow Face Oil—depending on the day. Maybe leaning toward the hyaluronic acid! The Hyaluronic Sea Serum is one I feel instantly when I skip; it gives my skin that hydrated, plump, lit-from-within feel. But on other days, it’s the Face Oil that does the magic—leaving my skin radiant, nourished, and calm. That said, I really do use and love everything—OSEA has a way of turning every product into a consistent staple in my skincare routine.”

How and when did you first discover OSEA?
“I have been using OSEA products since 2020. I first saw the review on Instagram from Victoria Beckham of the Undaria Algae Body Oil and I decided I needed to try it. My skin soaked it in and I fell in love with the scent.”
What do you love most about OSEA?
“I love the glass bottles and seaweed. These are what drew me in—sustainability and skin nutrition.”

How and when did you first discover OSEA?
“I first heard about OSEA via Jackie Johnson of the Natch Beaut podcast. I placed my first order after listening to the OSEA founder Jenefer and Melissa interview on the podcast (the episode was released in September 2018).”
What do you love most about OSEA?
“I love the origin story and supporting a female-founded brand! The products are natural, clean, and EFFECTIVE! I get so many compliments on my skin and as a gal who grew up with constant acne, it’s a very nice feeling!”
What’s your favorite product?
“My two favorite products have sadly been discontinued (V Cleanse and Sea Vitamin Boost), but my current favorite is the Advanced Protection Cream.”

“I discovered OSEA many years ago, in the summer of 2016. I read something about a company based in California that made skincare products from seaweed. I thought that was pretty interesting and decided to learn more about the products and try them out.”
