Call this an ode to one of the OG makeup products in my life, but after recently reviewing a sample of Urban Decay’s All Nighter through the review platform Butterly, I decided that it was time I gave this product the honour of having an updated dedicated review!
The last time I talked about this product on Cosmetic Proof was just over seven years ago when Urban Decay decided to revamp and launch a whole whackload of setting sprays and priming sprays. After trying countless setting sprays in my now 13 years of beauty blogging, the All Nighter has been my favourite. for 16 hours, this makeup spray promises to keep makeup from cracking and fading and uses a patented Temperature Control Technology that actually works to lower the temperature of your makeup to lock it in place. Like, what?!
This weightless, vegan mist sprays out of a nozzle that looks completely unassuming, but NOW I know that this is one of the best sprayers and formulations! I actually LOOK FORWARD to being sprayed in the face with this because not only does it feel like a fine morning mist, but the scent is also incredibly fresh and pleasant. Some makeup setting sprays have had me coughing when I inhale, but not this one!
I recently switched to using my Clarins setting spray in an effort to use it up and I noticed that when I used this versus the All Nighter, my face would get super oily just a few hours into my workday. The All Nighter truly works to keep oil at bay!
Final verdict: I have already finished the sample size I was sent and have moved on to the FULL size of the All Nighter! This will be my ride or die makeup setting spray and even though I still love buying setting sprays, I always feel the need to have a backup of this particular one because it honestly gets the job done without leaving those little white, matte droplets on your face or have you feeling like you inhaled hairspray (which I have heard is what was used in ye olden days of makeup artistry!). All Nighter, you will always be my baby!
