SHEET MASK | A By Bom Ultra Water Leaf Mask

Purchased by me

The minute I dive into an A by Bom sheet mask, I KNOW it’s going to be a good one! They have never disappointed and if anything, generally exceed my expectations! They were one of the first sheet mask brands I saw that did “multi-masking” which as to have the first step be smaller masks for targeted areas and then a sheet mask that would go over top (example here). They also made these masks very pretty to wear to the point that you wanted to go out in public and show everyone what you were wearing on your face! The mask I am sharing with you today is not a multi-mask, but it is definitely still one worth talking about!

What makes this mask special?
This mask contains birch juice, lavender flower water, Hinoki cypress water, Perilla leaf extract (anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial) and Gentian root which is a perennial herb growing in Asia that is skin-conditioning. All the featured ingredients are right at the top of the ingredients list. There is also 30mL of serum in this package so there will be leftover essence for you to use on the rest of your body!

The other thing I don’t think I have mentioned before is the actual mask material is made of Bemliese which is a cellulose non-woven fibre used for sheet masks with a very high liquid absorbency (it absorbs 11x its weight in water!) and retention which is why A By Bom masks hold their weight in essence REALLY well allowing the mask to hug the skin tightly.

This mask had a lot of essence so even though the mask wasn’t the thinnest material, the ratio of essence to mask thickness was well-matched!

Mask Summary:

Price: $4.99 CDN

What it does: Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

Scent: Refreshing floral

Essence Type: Milky

Duration: 30 minutes

Thickness: Thin – medium

Mask Fit: Very nice

Tackiness: None-very light

Hydration: Very nice!

Other notes: I used a rather sticky ampoule and this mask on top actually made my skin feel less tacky upon removal!

Final verdict: LOVE. I wish these masks were easier to find now because they are still on the A By Bom website, but seem to have disappeared from popular Kbeauty etailers. If you can get your hands on anything by A By Bom, you will never be disappointed!

Happy Sunday!
