You know the song “Here Comes the Hotstepper” by Ini Kamoze? That’s the song that runs through my head everytime I use a 3 step mask (“Here comes the three stepper”) like this one from Daycell! This is a mask that focuses on a healthy skin microbiome by using probiotics. Probiotics in skincare is not new and has been shown to soothe skin, help with breakouts and improve overall skin texture and improve elasticity.

What makes this mask special? Well, I think I just gave it away in the previous paragraph, but what makes this special is the multi-step process as well as the presence of Lactobacillus in each of the three steps.

The first step is an exfoliating toner pad that has a textured surface and contains niacinamide and four types of probiotics. It tingled just a touch, but nothing too crazy.

The sheet mask was BEAUTIFUL with the cupra mask fitting like a glove, feeling super soft and still soaking in so much essence even though I have had this mask for a few years now. The essence also contains niacinamide and four types of lactobacillus coming from Bifida fermentation filtrate, yeast fermentation filtrate, pumpkin fermentation filtrate and fermented rice.

The final step was the moisturizer which also had niacinamide and the same four probiotics along with cyclopentasiloxane for a nice glide. Even with this, the moisturizer was quite thick and took a few extra seconds to massage into the skin. Personally, since the mask was hydrating as is, I would have opted for a lighter moisturizer, but I guess the idea was to really seal it all in!

What I really loved was that the featured ingredients were all at the top of the list of ingredients so I knew that I was getting exactly what was being advertised. Most Korean sheet masks are like this and for the price of $5 USD, I feel like it’s SO WORTH IT.

 Final verdict: I would totally use this mask again! I love exfoliating toning pads are the first step compared to serums or ampoules and the sheet mask itself was lovely to wear. I would probably have used half the amount of moisturizer, but nonetheless I woke up the next day with super hydrated and plumped skin!
