Bonjour toute le monde! With this week starting my staycation, do you think I will get my act together to catch up and schedule blog posts? Who knows? Getting a cold over the weekend definitely put a cramp in my plans of productivity and enjoying the summer, but I can feel it moving quickly so hopefully by the end of the week when I have activities planned, I will be good to go!

Last month, I finally got around to trying out a series of fruity masks from Superfood that I quite enjoyed, but as I got to the third mask, I realized the results were looking quite similar across all fronts so it didn’t really make too much sense to do separate reviews for each mask. All four of the masks were full of plant-based ingredients in good concentrations.

Nourishing Coconut*

What makes this mask special? There is coconut water which is known to be very hydrating and soothing to the skin as well as Japanese seaweed extract (antioxidant), false daisy extract (antioxidant and skin-calming) and lichen extract (purifying) just to name a few of the plethora of plant-based ingredients. All are at the top of the ingredients list as well.

All of the masks looked and fit identically once on the skin and what was nice with this coconut mask was that it had a cream essence, but did not leave a tacky finish. It also had a good amount of essence and smelled faintly of coconut.

Revitalizing Tomato*

What makes this mask special? The ingredients list looks like a veritable salad as along with tomato fruit extract, there is also carrot, parsley, licorice and peach extract!

Just like the coconut mask, the mask fit was quite good and even though all of the masks had wrinkles, the amount of essence made it feel like it was adhering to the skin very well. I don’t know how much MORE revitalized my skin was prior to using this mask, but my skin was adequately hydrated with minimal tackiness upon removal.

Balancing Mangosteen*

What makes this mask special? The antioxidant properties of mangosteen fruit extract are the main draw of this mask, but again there are many other plant-based ingredients including rambutan and litchi extract! This is the first time I have seen rambutan extract in skincare and if you like Asian fruit, this is a fun one!

I thought this mask was going to be not quite as hydrating as the others because “balancing” tends to mean sebum or oil control, but it smelled slightly sweet and had similar hydration and tackiness levels to the previous masks.

Strengthening Blueberry*

What makes this mask special? The blueberry extract of course! Out of all of these masks, this has the highest concentration of its featured ingredient and has fewer “fruits” in the ingredient mix. Blueberries are known to be a good antioxidant and it is nice to see it fairly high on the list.

This one smelled a little like blueberries and was just as pleasant as the other masks. I feel like with these masks, the differences between each are so subtle and for me it ends up coming down to scent and what I am in the mood for.

Final verdict: These were all great masks for hydration and fit. My favourites were the Coconut and Blueberry masks for scent and essence type, but I would use these again if they were readily available!
I sadly do not think these masks are still available which is sad!
