It is the long weekend and while I worked yesterday and will work the holiday Monday, it still feels like I get to benefit from this extra long weekend as well as Monday is a short day, late start and overall more chill than regular days. I also start working 4 days/week this month in order to use up some vacation days and have a better work/life balance. If only I could continue that schedule, but in the world of retail that just isn’t realistic!

Back at the end of May, I placed a rather large order on Oceanbuy.ca for sheet masks as they had most of the JM Solution Pokemon sheet masks (reviews coming soon!) and then I found these super cute looking waffle masks from Kocostar on sale for $1.49 so I obviously had to get those too! I mean, look at the little bite marks in the packaging!

All three masks are made with 100% eco-friendly cotton and in a waffle/mesh pattern that is soaked in 38g of thick jelly essence.

Ice Cream Skin Refresher

What makes this mask special? This mask contains vanilla and cica extract to calm and soothe skin and hyaluronic acid for hydration. All of these ingredients are pretty far down the ingredients list though with fragrance actually being in higher concentration than the vanilla and cica extract so I am not really sure if they are doing much.

The mask fabric was very comfortable and had nice big eye holes and solid moustache piece! I did find the mask a bit long on the sides though.

What it does: Calms and revitalizes the skin barrier

Scent: Sweet, but not like ice cream sadly!

Essence Type: Milky and gel-like

Duration: 30 minutes

Thickness: Thin-medium

Mask Fit: A little bit bag for the sides of my face, but other than that, the waffle fabric was very comfortable!

Tackiness: So high

Hydration: No moisturizer needed and when I woke up in the morning, the essence was still there in a thick layer like a helmet!

Other notes: Lots of essence leftover!

Strawberry Refine Texture

What makes this mask special? This mask contains strawberry, gingko biloba leaf and pearl extract to improve skin texture. All of these ingredients are right at the end of the ingredients list. Call it a placebo effect, but I actually thought my skin looked really good after using this mask!

Essence Type: Clear, pink and gel-like!

Mask Fit: A little bit bag for the sides of my face, but other than that, the waffle fabric was very comfortable!

Tackiness: So high

Hydration: No moisturizer needed and when I woke up in the morning, the essence was still there, but not quite as thick feeling as the Ice Cream mask

Other notes: N/A

Honey Deep Hydration

What makes this mask special? This mask contains honey and royal jelly extract and this time, the honey extract is actually midway of the ingredients list.

What it does: Intense hydration

Scent: Like honey

Essence Type: Clear, brown gel-like

Duration: 30 minutes

Thickness: Thin-medium

Mask Fit: A little bit bag for the sides of my face, but other than that, the waffle fabric was very comfortable!

Tackiness: High

Hydration: Intense!

Other notes: N/A

Final verdict: These masks were fun and I REALLY liked the waffle knit aspect of the mask as I felt like one of those pears cocooned in those mesh wrappers at the grocery store! While the ingredients were good, I just wish they were more prominently featured in terms of concentration. These were all VERY hydrating masks though and wearing a sheet mask that reminded me of dessert is never a bad thing!
