SHEET MASK | Masque Bar Silver Foil Sheet Mask

Masque Bar Silver Foil Sheet Mask

Purchased by me

Alright, I have not been good about posting Sheet Mask Sunday on Sundays recently, but I have just felt so busy with house things and enjoying my time off that sitting down in one place and writing has been a struggle. It also suddenly became summer last week shooting up 10 degrees into the low 20s so all anyone in Vancouver has wanted to do is get outside to enjoy the sunshine! Myself included! My husband and I went for a one hour week around the neighbourhood this afternoon and it was so nice. I have been continuing with sheet masking almost every day the last few weeks so I think I am slowly getting back into a bit of a routine.

While today’s sheet mask from Masque Bar is a bit of a throwback as I haven’t had a chance to try any new masks the last two weeks (this will change shortly as I have taken my photos of new masks!), it is a solid one if you are ever wanting to try something from Masque Bar or need something small to get 20x the points as this brand is regularly sold at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Masque Bar Silver Foil Sheet Mask

What makes this mask special? It’s a foil mask! Foil masks are known for being incredibly hydrating as the foil insulates the skin from the troubles of the outside world. This mask contains soothing aloe leaf juice, tea extract, anise fruit extract (antioxidant) and witch hazel water.

Mask Summary:

Price: $4.99 CDN, but they go on sale on their site quite a bit

What it does: Hydrates, soothes and gives skin a youthful glow

Scent: Soapy, but in a good way!

Duration: 10-20 min

Thickness: Medium which is standard for a foil mask due to the fact that this mask is composed of two layers – the top outer layer is foil, but the inner is more like a cotton sheet mask.

Mask Fit: Eye holes were a bit small (and I have small eyes). The chin was more wrinkly and wouldn’t stay folded.

Tackiness: Light

Hydration: Good

Final verdict: This mask was hydrating and it always feels so nice removing a foil mask afterwards because you can get a bit warm wearing them. Think of it like a sauna for your face! I would definitely buy this mask again!
You can find the Masque Bar sheet masks at any Shoppers Drug Mart or Pharmaprix in Canada.
