Pelegrims Grape Leaf Sheet Mask

Purchased by me

This is coming a little late, but Vancouver had its first snowfall today and my husband and I took some time to enjoy it by going out for a walk and then having a cozy day in. I actually spent it decluttering my clothes for a combination of donation to Big Brother and selling on Poshmark. Let’s just say I got rid of A LOT of hangers and made a good amount of space for what I am hoping for are some quality clothing purchases that will last me the next 10 years!

As some of you may remember from a previous review, Pelegrims is my new side hustle baby that we are hoping to launch in Canada this year. We had a pop up in December that was a lot of fun and was a good experiment in market research. I have been slowly getting acquainted with the products over the last few months, but when I saw that one of the newest launches was a biocellulose sheet mask, I knew I had to get stocked up on it because I would LOVE it.

Pelegrims Grape Leaf Sheet Mask

What makes this mask special? Grape leaf extract that comes straight from Westwell Winery! This is the key ingredients in all Pelegrims products so you can bet that you will find this ingredient in the top half of the ingredients list! You will also find rose flower extract, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide.

The quality of the biocellulose or thickness is always how I judge whether this type of mask is worth it, but because this mask was more than $20 CDN, I expected the thickness to be thicker than the biocellulose masks under $10. As I had hoped, this mask came out feeling substantial where I didn’t have to worry about my nails tearing it and it didn’t even dry out after the recommended 20 minutes! I could have kept this on for closer to 40 minutes no problem!

Price: $22 CDN/mask or $74 CDN for four masks

What it does:

Scent: None

Essence Type: Clear and watery

Duration: 30 minutes

Thickness: Thick, but in biocellulose this is a GOOD thing and is usually better quality!

Mask Fit: Very nice! Thick moustache piece!

Tackiness: None with skin feeling VERY soft afterwards.

Hydration: Good, but you will need to add a little bit of moisturizer if you have dry skin or it is winter like right now! I like adding the Facial Oil to seal everything in.

Final verdict:
This mask was worth every penny and I am glad I stocked up and got 8 of them! It feels luxurious, similar to my favourite For Beloved One masks and my skin felt so refreshed, soft and renewed upon removal. I know I am a little bias since this is my brand baby, but I probably wouldn’t have even brought it up if I didn’t like the mask so much. It is expensive though so I think you need to think of these as a once a week treat that will pay off in the long run! I can honestly say that even just getting into the habit of sheet masking every night back in 2018 has seriously paid off now! Biocellulose is the best of the best when it comes to sheet masks and this Pelegrims Grape Leaf Sheet Mask is up there among my favourite luxe masks!
