We have now officially entered the Year of the Dragon! Maybe it’s the Asian in me, but I kind of feel like I get another chance at things with Lunar New Year happening a month after the calendar new year. I feel like I have an excuse to buy something new and look at my calendar again. I tend to use this time to see how January has gone and though I don’t like to put a lot of pressure on myself anymore, there have been little things I have been motivated to do, like posting every day on my work Instagram (@jaynehlim) or trying to have scheduled blog posts. So far, so good, but from what I have noticed, my blog posts tend to taper off in the Fall. Is it prep for Christmas and the holiday season that kills my energy and motivation? Is it the fact that the weather is generally more depressing and it gets dark earlier? Quite possibly! So, I guess for now, I will enjoy these 8 months of productivity!
What better way to start the new Dragon Year than a Hello Kitty printed mask! I love writing about The Creme Shop and their masks because they are so much fun, but I was thinking at some point that I should talk about their skincare because it looks both cute and good on the ingredients!
What makes this mask special? It’s printed with the cute little leaves and HK’s face and also contains pumpkin enzymes to gently exfoliate with AHAs, lotus flower extract (antioxidant), Japanese Sophora flower extract (anti-inflammatory), freesia extract (soothing) and a host of other plant-based ingredients all in the top half of the ingredients list. I am always impressed with the ingredients of TSC masks because they are relatively short and interesting too!
Mask Summary:
Price: $4 USD
What it does: Exfoliate, plump and soften skin
Scent: Sweet, but not like pumpkin
Essence Type: Clear, viscous
Duration: 25 minutes
Thickness: Thin to medium, but this is typical of all TCS masks and after years of using them, I don’t mind at all as the fabric is always so soft.
Mask Fit: Thin moustache piece and the mask went into my hair, but I didn’t mind.
Tackiness: Light
Hydration: I did not feel the need for additional moisturizer
Other notes: N/A
Final verdict: I liked this mask! I did not feel the need for moisturizer and I felt like my skin had a bit of a glow! It’s always fun using a mask with a print and I am glad that I picked up a box of these to use.
You can find The Creme Shop sheet masks at www.thecremeshop.com or at Winners which is where I purchase many of mine!
