I tried to get this Sheet Mask Sunday post up on Sunday, but alas I was too carried away with doing house stuff and running some errands that by the time it felt like a quiet time to sit down, I was ready for a nap! Then came dinner and watching season 3 of Clarkson’s Farm, time to shower and then finally time to do my nails which kind of incapacitates me for a few hours as I can’t really touch anything. Nonetheless, here we are on Monday, but because I have it off, I have the luxury of catching up now with these two sheet masks from Tonymoly!

Tonymoly Fresh to Go Grape and Cucumber Mask Sheet

What makes this mask special? This mask has grape extract at almost the midway point of the ingredients list and then white tea, ginger and licorice root extract closer to the bottom of the list. Tonymoly masks are generally very affordable so while the ingredients are ok, you will not find the featured ones at the top of the list. The grape fruit extract is meant to smooth skin as well as tighten pores.

For the price, I have always found Tonymoly masks to be an amazing deal! They material is always thin, stretchy and soft.

Mask Summary:

What it does: Smooths skin and reduces the appearances of pores

Scent: Like grapes!

Essence Type: Clear, slightly viscous

Duration: 25 minutes

Thickness: Thin

Mask Fit: Pretty good, but slits on the eyeholes would probably be helpful with helping the mask fit better across the nose bridge.

Tackiness: None

Hydration: Hydration was decent, but I felt like I wanted a sleeping mask as well so I added the Clarins Cryo Mask on top.

Other notes: N/A

Cucumber | Calming*

What makes this mask special? This has calming cucumber extract at almost the halfway point of the ingredients list along with similar plant-based ingredients to the Grape mask like ginger, licorice and white tea extract. I should also mention that both masks have silicones in them which probably helps with the masks feeling non-tacky upon removal.

Scent: Like cucumber!

Essence Type: Clear, slightly viscous and milky

Duration: 25 minutes

Thickness: Thin

Mask Fit: Pretty good, but slits on the eyeholes would probably be helpful with helping the mask fit better across the nose bridge.

Tackiness: None

Hydration: Hydration was decent and I did not feel the need for additional moisturizer though I could have if I wanted to.

Final verdict: Maybe not the best sheet masks when it comes to concentration of ingredients, but I’ve always liked Tonymoly for their pricing, their overall quality and that they are fun to use for everyone. They are a good beginner sheet mask with attractive packaging and I would hands down recommend them to anyone whether you have been masking for awhile like me or just getting started!
